58 people were also seriously injured and some remain in hospital. When police went to James Holmes flat they found it had been booby-trapped in an attempt to kill even more people.
James believed he was acting
in the film and has shown to remorse or regret for his crime spree. He calls himself the joker and had apparently been planning the horrifying attack for weeks. Police and prison guards describe James as ‘crazy’, and say he is completely out of touch with reality.I really hope this doesn’t mean this man will escape jail on an insanity plea. Far too many people use it as an excuse for their crimes. This was not a spur of the moment action, he had been planning this for weeks and therefore new perfectly well what he was doing.
I hope he gets the death sentence then he can feel how his victims felt.
